Haferflocken-Erdnussbutter-Kekse mit Schokoladenstückchen/
Cookies with Oats, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips


Zutaten für 25 Kekse (Ingredients for 25 cookies):

1 1/3 Cups Mehl (1 1/3 cups flour)
1 Cup zarte Haferflocken (1 cup cooking oats)
1 TL Backpulver (1 teaspoon baking powder)
1 TL Natron(1 teaspoon baking soda)
1 Prise Salz (pinch of salt)
1/2 Cup Zucker (1/2 cup caster sugar)
1/2 Cup brauner Zucker (1/2 cup brown sugar)
3/4 Cup Schokolade, grob gehackt (3/4 cups chocolate, chopped (or chips))
2 gehäufte EL Erdnussbutter Crunchy (2 tablepoons crunchy peanut butter)
1 Ei (1 egg)
1/2 Cup Butter (1/2 cup butter)

1. Den Ofen vorheizen (170° Umluft). 
Preheat the oven.
2. Die trockenen Zutaten vermischen.
Mix all the dry ingredients together.
3. Die (flüssige) Butter und das Ei dazu geben und erst mit einer Gabel, dann mit den Händen gut verrühren.
Add the (melted) butter and the egg and mix it all ogether, using a fork first and your hands afterwards.
4. Mit den Händen kleine Bällchen formen, diese auf ein mit Backpapier ausgelegtes Backblech legen und im vorgeheizten Ofen bei 170° Umluft 10 Minuten backen.
Form small balls, place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
(5.) Nach Wunsch die Kekse nach dem Abkühlen noch zusätzlich mit Schokolade besprenkeln oder zur Hälfte in flüssige Kuvertüre tauchen. Das sieht dann so aus.
If you wish you can also dip the cookies halfway in melted chocolate after they have cooled. This would look like this then.

  1. i tried these! so good! although mine look very different from yours, mine became all flat. didn't matter, tasted yummy anyway :)!

  3. i made these again today and guess what - no flat cookies! actually they became exactly like yours in the photos! i wonder what i did differently. i think this indicates that i definitely need to make another batch and see which way they turn out to be :).

  4. actually, now when i think of it i think i forgot to add the caster sugar... that explains why they were less sweet this time than what i remembered... oh dear :D! nice anyway, not too sweet.
