Carolin II

Finally a new layout....

Finally a new layout....
I would have liked to add some journalling text at the bottom of the page, but our printer doesn't take this format of paper, so I had to leave it out and use some flowers instead.

London
I got the flu once again, and so I was forced to slow down a bit. Anyway, at least I could work on another scrapbook layout. One cannot recognize the colours very well on the photos because it's much too dark right now, but they aren't ideal anyway (even with daylight). The journalling in the little circles says: "I just love this city: Its smells, noise, its haste and diversity. I've loved being there again this year".
Looking through my photos and picking six of them for this layout brought back a lot of warm, beautiful memories of the three times I've been to London- and that alone was worth the effort of the past hours!

Flower Power

The idea for this layout I scraplifted from Linda (lintsi.wordpress.com). I'm not satisfied with my result at all, but at least the photos of the flowers I quite like. I took them a few weeks ago on my way to school and was fascinated by the many beauties in my daily life.
bsss...
In Linda's blog I read about this week's challenge to make a layout about something we hear(d). I came up with this here. The text is about a mosquito that disturbed my precious night's rest.
I'm not sure if I'll leave the blank space in the right corner.

10 things I want to do in my life
Tonight I finished one layout I started the day before yesterday. Its title is "10 things I want to do in my life". Unfortunately, it's already too dark to take a good picture, and the paper's too big to put on my scanner. So this is all I can sho for now:

Eine Zweite Seite / A Second Page

Since our study room was a mess anyway because of all my papers, glues, scissors and ribbons lying around, I decided to make a second page today. And I'm quite happy with the result ;-)
The text I created with wordle, the flower is made of artifical petals usually used as deco-confetti. I sewed the petals together, a pink heart button holding them together. The blossom created that way I framed with a semicircle of light pink heart buttons.

Meine erste Scrapbook-Challenge / My first scrapbooking challenge
Today Linda and I have been to the paper shop and I finally know what embossing is and how about it works. Linda has also given me my first scrapbooking challenge: to get one page done until the week after next. We've also chosen a picture I'm going to use: It's a picture of me and a huge radish that came in my organic-food delivery some time ago.
As soon as I've found some suitable blue cardstock I'll get started.

That's life- finding scrapbook inspiration in the everyday
Although I don't particularly like the layouts presented in this book, I find the actual ideas for "every-day scrapbook pages" very inspiring.
My favourite is: "What is going to happen to the last banana in the fruit bowl?"
-left until the spots take over and being thrown away
-banana muffins (not so likely)
-being put in a lunch-box only to be returned in a worse state (and ultimately being thrown away)
